FACE Alliance

Effective the 1st day of November, 2002, Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound has agreed to partner with the FACE (Firearms Crime Enforcement) program to publicize known and verified firearms crime related wanted suspects! This agreement includes the King County Sheriff's Office and the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for Administrative Services.

Crime Stoppers will pay rewards on behalf of FACE in accordance with the standard Crime Stoppers International tips schedule, based on available resources.

The King County Sheriff's Office and the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office have also partnered with other law enforcement and community agencies in King County including the King County Police Chiefs Association and with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound to develop the Firearms Crime Enforcement Coalition of King County (FACE) for the purpose of reducing violent firearm crime in King County

The FACE program will solicit donations to Crime Stoppers to promote the reduction of violent firearm crime in King County; and Crime Stoppers will serve as the Administrative Agency for FACE. Crime Stoppers will provide fiscal management of FACE donations in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices including detailed documentation of all receipts and expenditures.

The agreement was signed by Norm Maleng, King County Prosecutor; Dave Reichert, King County Sheriff; and Ron Conlin, President of Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound and Crime Stoppers Association of Washington.

CrimeStoppers is a partnership of concerned citizens, law enforcement agencies and news media working together as one crime-fighting unit dedicated to reducing crime and improving the quality of life within the community by putting criminals behind bars.
